Founding

Helmuth Penz, born in Berlin in 1945, founds ELTEC-KG (Klein GmbH) in Berlin, Germany. The company begins operations, initially focusing on electrical engineering projects.

ELTEC-KG quickly gains recognition for its expertise in electrical engineering, completing projects in Germany and across Europe.

1990

German Reunification

After German reunification, Helmuth Penz takes a pioneering role in East Germany's electrical systems engineering, expanding ELTEC's presence in the region.

Expansion

ELTEC-KG expands its international reach, taking on projects in Arabian and African countries, Latin America, and Southeast Asia, establishing itself as an internationally renowned business.

International Growth

ELTEC-KG continues to grow its portfolio and reputation, securing reference projects in various industries, including commercial buildings, infrastructure, transportation, marine, and oil & gas.

Restructuring

ELTEC undergoes a management restructuring to focus primarily on its international activities. Subsidiary companies are founded to manage operations in different regions:

Gulf ELTEC LLC in the United Arab Emirates.
ELTEC-GmbH Helmuth Penz (GmbH) Electrical Systems & Interior Engineering in Greece.
BEH ELTEC Polska to oversee activities in Eastern Europe.

Expansion

ELTEC also expands its reach by partnering with BCS Building Control Systems, with ELTEC holding a 50% stake in the company based in Warsaw, Poland.
